Some verses that stood out are: through all this Job did not sin or blame God for anything. Makes me shrink when I think of my reaction to troubles sent my way.
Also, as a friend do I jump to conclusions when trying to be helpful. Am I an Eliphaz.
Instead I want to be mindful of Romans 12:15
“Sufferers do not require the theological statements of those whose lives are currently easy. They require the graceful presence of friends who are wise enough to “weep with those who weep” (Rom. 12:15).
