Where did we come from?

The Gospel Transformation Bible commentary states that the drama of redemption begins “in the beginning”. Genesis is more concerned with God the Creator than with the time or details of creation. He is the sovereign King whose kingdom was orderly and good, but which is in need of redemption because of the tragedy of human sin. God’s word establishes order, revealing his will to make earth his kingdom and to prepare it for human rule. At every stage, God is for his creation.

I’ve read these chapters and verses countless times and have never thought about my order and rhythm of rest. Unfortunately, after reading this, I don’t think I have any.

I am hoping this commitment will change that.
